The 10th Warsaw Book Fair is over – thank you for being there!
We would like to thank our 800 exhibitors from 27 countries: Argentina, Austria, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China and Taiwan, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Georgia, Hungary, India, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Costa Rica, Peru, Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Our special thanks go to Romania – the Guest of Honor of the 10th Warsaw Book Fair, thanks to which the visitors of the Fair had the opportunity to learn about the country’s diverse literature and rich culture.
We would like to thank librarians and booksellers for using the industry offer and visiting us in record numbers. Nearly 1,900 people took advantage of free admission to the fair.
We would like to thank all authors, translators, illustrators and other representatives of the world of culture. 1,038 of you came to the PGE National Stadium.
We would like to thank book and reading enthusiasts for spending four days with us, buying books, collecting autographs and taking part in 1,500 program events: meetings with authors, debates, conferences, workshops, lessons, attractions for children, artistic and literary events, announcements of winners of literary and industry awards, competitions and exhibitions. We are glad that new items on the program, such as: The Warsaw Criminal Festival with the competition for the Grand Prix of the Festival, the popular science zone and the Warsaw Meet Point Pop Culture Festival with the fantasy zone, the gaming zone and the Asian pop culture zone were so well received by the audience.
We would like to use this opportunity to express how happy we are and to thank all those who joined us! This year between May 23rd and 26th, the Fair at the PGE National Stadium was visited by 80,400 people. And now we would like to invite you to the 11th Warsaw Book Fair, which will take place on May 21st to 24th, 2020!
We hope to see you at the Literary Open-Air Meeting "Re-discover books” (orig. “Odkryj książkę na nowo”) in Szczecin (June 14th to 16th), the Seaside Reading Open-Air Meeting in Gdynia (July 19th to 21st) and at the Silesian Book Fair in Katowice (December 6th to 8th).
